Abstract
=========
This presentation will provide an overview of the software changes planned for TRANSIMS Version 5.0 and solicit feedback from users on desirable improvements. The Version 5.0 design attempts to streamline the data processing and standardize file formats to reduce some of the complexity and simplify data editing and analysis. At the same time, there are a number of areas where the TRANSIMS modeling algorithms and software capabilities need improvement. Key changes to the Router and Microsimulator are under development to enhance functionality, simulate larger networks, and reduce processing time.
